    They SUCK!!! I ordered a pair of glasses online and about an hour later was called by a person who told me that they no longer had them in stock. She said I could come down to the store and try on other frames that might work for me. I did that and was unable to find what I was looking for, that’s when the problem began. I told the woman that I wanted to cancel my order and asked that she not charge my card.   • Beware! Low Quality & Poor Customer Service



    I was a long time customer and referred many friends and relatives to them. The quality used to be great. I ordered a new pair of glasses in September and the top of the lenses had a defect. The owner refused to remake the lenses because he says they don't make enough money on them. I was promised a refund, but when I came in for it, an optician named Dawit Debela screamed at me and refused to give it to me.   • Bad News!



    I did receive my glasses in a fast time. The script seemed correct. However there is a half moon blemish dead center on one of the lens that makes them like looking through dirt all the time. If lucky getting them polished will fix(money I shouldn't have to spend. Tried to contact 3 times by email and ignored.     I received my one pair of glasses after a month. Per the policy on their order confirmation "In the event we don't meet our delivery commitment we will refund $10 for Single Vision, $15 for Bifocal and $20 for Progressive Eyeglasses." I called to get my refund after my emails were not responded to. I was told by "Francois" there was no such policy.   • Forced to Small Claims



    An addendum to my last posting: After writing a letter to Peerless explaining I would file a small claims court suit unless I received the $99 refund, I made a follow up call. I was told that the owner refused a refund and that he was 85 years old and didn't care if he had to go to court. I have now filed a small claims suit and in addition to asking that the original $99 be refunded, am requesting reimbursement for all the time I've had to expend in dealing with the issue.   • Unfair to customers & employees



    I noticed last time I was in LA, that the Fairfax Peerless store had closed! (I believe only 2 of their former 5 locations are still standing)! The company is poorly run; like a Hitler regime, and the employees are treated unkindly, unfairly, & underpaid. The employees work 6 days @ week with no overtime pay & barely a lunch break! Their supervisors are incompetent bufoons with no optical knowledge and fire people for no reason because they are on a power trip.     I purchased a pair of glasses from Peerless, but returned them when it appeared as if the prescription was incorrect. When I went to pick up the corrected pair, they had closed the store. I called another location and was told they'd be sent. I never got them, and when I called a few weeks later, was told they'd been sent to the wrong person by an employee who had a sick mother, and they'd re-send them.     This company's product is a waste of money. Ordered a pair of prescription glasses and it took one month for delivery. When I received the glasses they were not made to my prescription and could not see close or far with them. The glasses look and feel like children's play glasses and are of such a quality equal to $1.00 glasses sold at 99 shop, I paid $100.00.
